The Airburst Non-Lethal Munition (High Velocity) is designed to deny access into/out of an area to individuals, move individuals through
an area, and suppress individuals. This technology has the potential to support multiple missions including:
- Force protection
- Clearing/denial
- Patrols/convoys
- Crowd control
- Offensive and defensive operations
The Airburst Non-Lethal Munition is a 40mm round for use in such systems as the MK19 grenade launcher. It has a fuel enriched pyrotechnic payload, proximity air burst, and selectable
delay option fuse. The round is capable of a flash-bang effect, ocular and auditory impairment, and/or thermal heating.
