The Airburst Non-Lethal Munition (Low Velocity) is designed to deny access into/out of an area to individuals, move individuals through an area, and suppress individuals. This technology has the potential to support multiple missions including:

• Force protection
• Clearing/denial
• Patrols/convoys
• Crowd control
• Offensive and defensive operations

The Airburst Non-Lethal Munition is a 40mm round for use in such systems as the M203 grenade launcher. It has a fuel enriched pyrotechnic payload, proximity air burst, and selectable delay option fuse. The round is capable of a flash-bang effect, ocular and auditory impairment, and/or thermal heating.
